CONNECTING

MdFF is more than just a bunch of screenings, it’s an opportunity to connect with filmmakers, swap perspectives with fellow attendees, and leave the theater with new questions (and maybe a few new friends).

Here are a few easy ways to engage:

  • Stay for the Q&A and ask a question (or just listen and learn).

  • If speaking up in a crowd isn’t your thing, try a one-on-one hello after the screening. A sincere thank you, plus what resonated, is often a filmmaker’s favorite feedback.

  • Keep the conversation going outside the theater or at a nearby gathering.

  • Turn to the person next to you and share what the film stirred up.

  • Be curious, be generous, and know that everyone is here because they care about film.

However you show up:
with a question, a comment, or a simple thank you,
you’re part of the good vibes at MdFF.
